Craft Afternoons

craft

Do you enjoy a hobby or are you into crafting?

Come along on 3rd Saturday of every month from 1 – 5 pm  Bring along something craft related you’re working on, and come and have a relaxing, enjoyable afternoon, with like minded people. Tea, coffee, biscuits, cake and a lot of chat are also on offer. No one is expected to be an expert at anything, but to just be willing to share with others what you can.

We are all gifted in some way or another, but we may not realise what these gifts are, or make the time to even enjoy them. God gave us these gifts and they are free, so why not spare a bit of time and discover what you can do. You could also share your knowledge (no matter how small it might be) with others, it may help them to discover and develop gifts they never knew they had. Knitting, Crochet, Quilting, paper & card craft (cards & boxes), & Jewellery making, appear to be the main things that people bring along to work on, but we have also seen Scrap booking and Cross stitching.

Bring along a friend to share in the wonderful time had by all as different crafts are explored and as this afternoon is not restricted to church members – note: children must be accompied by an adult. Donation of £1 per session to go towards materials, facilities and refreshments.

Some items are made for the Church, to raise funds for various things, includingYouth group holidays and missionary work. We have an ongoing blanket square project going on at present which anyone can contribute to, and these will be used to make blankets for church use.

For more information contact Chris W at the church or contact us via the website.
